What is a cellular Network?
A cellular network is a radio network which allows a number of handheld mobile stations (More commonly known as mobile phone or cell phone) to communicate with each other through voice and text message.

The Technology
Cellular Network has the following properties:
- This network is made up of a number of cells, each served by at least one fixed-location transceiver known as a base station and handsets communicate through them.
- When joined together, these cells provide radio coverage over a wide geographic area.
- A large number of portable transceivers such as mobile phones, pagers can communicate with each other and with fixed transceivers and telephones anywhere in the network.
- The mobile handsets prices vary from $30 to $800. The price depends on the advanced features of the set.
- This network provides access to the internet through GPRS/EDGE services. User can access the internet directly through the GPRS/EDGE/3G enabled mobile phone or connect the phone to a laptop or desktop PC through Bluetooth or wire connection.
