A typical emergency scenario

  • Large scale damage to the infrastructure causes buildings to fall down which causes huge deaths and injuries.
  • Small houses may be swept away.
  • The total transportation system may collapse. Sometimes, it takes several days for relief teams to arrive.
  • With collapse of utility carriers, there is no provision – no electricity, no water, no food.
  • Hygiene issues cause health hazards.
  • With damage everywhere and, too many people sick and injured causes medical facilities fall in major short-supply.
  • As the communications infrastructure fails, no way to communicate with the outside world.
  • Lack of food, shelter, medical aid and communication method.
  • All these situations could last for several days.
